Job Manifest

Sometimes finding a job can feel almost impossible, but that's because we often approach our new career search incorrectly. In reality, finding a new job has a lot to do with your attitude and ability to work with what you have. Let's take a look at how you can manifest a great job.

Does This Actually Work?

Yes, manifesting a job works if you do it correctly. When you want or desire a specific outcome, the chances of it happening in real life increase drastically. The same goes for your career, but you need to put in the work!

How to Manifest a Job in 2023

1. Go Into it for the Right Reason

Anyone can easily find a job if they start applying to low-quality roles that aren’t fulfilling. However, that’s not how you land an enjoyable job that benefits you and those around you.

Take a moment and think of your employment goals. Are you seeking a job that serves a greater purpose? Are you doing it to help others and feel fulfilled, or are you just looking at annual salary stats and putting in applications?

When you have the right reason for hunting down a specific job, you’ll be in the right mindset to have things fall into place naturally.

2. Visualization

Many people find that visualizing themselves in the position they’re looking for greatly helps them achieve their goals. Now, you need to do a bit more than sit around imagining you’re in your dream job. In real life, you do need to take action to make things happen.

However, there is truth to this beyond mysticism and high hopes. When you visualize yourself achieving your goals, you prepare yourself mentally to take the steps necessary to succeed. This heightens your overall mood.

3. Get Rid of Negativity

We can often let negative thoughts run rampant without realizing it, and that negativity can screw up even the most surefire opportunities. Negative thoughts lead to negative actions, and that leads to negative results.

Leave out those thoughts like “They won’t accept my application” or “This is a difficult process”. Instead, replace them with positive intentions. Tell yourself that you CAN do it. You ARE an ideal candidate. You WILL succeed.

4. Be Grateful

Things tend to happen in small phases, and too often, people ignore the little victories. That’s the wrong way to go about things.

Be grateful when you get an interview invitation, even if you don’t land the job. Be thankful for happening to walk past a “Now Hiring” sign that prompts your application to a business you’d love to work for.

Those tiny but often relevant bits of gratefulness are all parts of landing a job. The more you acknowledge them, the better your mood will be.

5. Keep Relaxed

Finally, if you need a job, we know you're stressed out. Unfortunately, job hunting takes time. Constantly filling out applications, running to interviews, and getting rejected after so much commitment can be tough.

Keep your composure and relax. Understand that as long as you’re taking action and staying positive, you are moving along the path to a new job; don’t stress yourself out throughout this bumping road.

"Positive thinking just means that you approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst. Positive thinking often starts with self-talk. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head."

— Mayo

Wrapping Up | Manifesting a New Job

Having the right mindset and “manifesting” your dream job has a tremendous effect on whether or not you’re successful. However, you still need to take action and work hard to make these manifestations come to life. To recap our five steps to manifesting your dream job:

  1. Go Into it for the Right Reason

  2. Visualization

  3. Get Rid of Negativity

  4. Be Grateful

  5. Relax

Use these mental exercises to increase your attitude and behavioral responses, but take the necessary steps to get where you want to be in your career. We hope this helps, and best of luck finding that new job!
